Places we like to Eat!
Yukon Bunswick is a small Korean restaurant on the second floor above Shoppers Drug Mart in downtown Whitehorse. They serve great Bimbimbap, house made kimchi, and Korean sushi!
Dirty Northern is a bar on Main street. Visit on Mondays for 1/2 of pizza! This is a great place to go if you want to feel a bit of big city vibe. There may be lineups, and it’ll be busy! Who can resist half off pizza?
Wood Street Ramen serves up a variety of ramen and Thai food. The portions are hearty, and the noodles are delicious.
Kita/Golden Sakura/Asiyaha
These are three Japanese restaurants downtown Whitehorse. Take your pick – they are all good.
Taj Mahal is located in the Skyy Hotel across from the Airport and serves up a delectable array of Indian food.
Airport Chalet is a down to earth restaurant opposite the airport, and a great place for hearty fare. The locals hang out here for drinks and food, and the ambience is reminiscent of the old road-side restaurant hotels that once dotted the Alaska highway.
Woodcutters is a small hip brewpub that is a go to for drinks, food and cocktails. Set in an old former trapper store, they serve up house-made beers in a cozy and often busy setting. Well worth a visit!
Joe’s serves delicious wood fired pizza downtown. Best pizza in town!
Every Thursday evening a significant portion of the city descends on the weekly farmers market, and as of late there are a huge number of food truck vendors that have popped up to feed the hordes. It’s a great place to get some of the most creative and tasty culinary fare in the city.

These food trucks also park in various places in the city the rest of the week. Enjoy Azhong noodles (hand pulled noodles) and the Street of Kerala (Indian).
Bullethole Bagel pumps out delicious hand made bagels in Horwoods Mall (behind Baked cafe), and they are worth a stop! Pick up a bagel sandwich and enjoy their creative and delicious weekly special while grabbing a steaming fresh six pack for later.
Gather cafe is an eclectic and beautiful spot to hang out for a tasty meal and cocktail. Bordering the glass blowing studio, the food is delicious, though the space is small so get there early if you’d like a seat! Sign up for a glass blowing workshop, then finish off the afternoon with a tasty meal.
The Deli is a long-standing restaurant that offers a sandwich bar and a variety of hot meals during lunch. The sandwiches are massive and it’s a great place to go if you feel like filling up on hearty and delicious food. The meatloaf is the size of a small loaf of bread.
The Kind Cafe is an urban hipster vegan paradise! Kind is fully vegan and delicious purveyor of bowls, snacks drinks, all made without animal products.
